At 8:30 p.m. 姜助遠 came to see me in the Building and said that Hong Moksa as the treasurer of the 傳道硏究會 had lent ￥700.00 of the 會's money to a boy who ran away to the U.S.; that the secret is in danger of being known; that to save Hong from disgrace, some one must stand surety for the money; and that I should be good enough to guarantee the payment of the amount. Kang further said that about 20 persons will agree to pay ￥3.00 per month for 10 month, if I should stand surety. I told him that I can't stand a 保人 for any such thing.

Y.M.C.A. as usual. At 1 p.m. went to 京城ホテル to attend the 朝鮮副業振興會. Nobody came in time, so I left about 3 p.m.

Y.M.C.A. as usual. At 4:30 the Board of Directors met at the 美英聖書公會. No friction of any kind as had been feared or intimated. At 8 p.m. 洪陽厚 gave a talk on cholera to a room full of ladies. スキヤキ會 at Pagoda Park.

Y.M.C.A. as usual. At 11 a.m. went to 尹迴求's house to attend the 宗會. The questions were:

1. The 宗中櫃 which is said to have been sent to my father is missing.

2. The paper which father had bought for 族譜的用 and which I, when I returned home last spring, sold by not knowing what it was intended.

3. And the balance of money of the 宗中 which my father was then custodian……

Wrote to 吉龍 asking him about the 宗中櫃 申興雨 gave a very fine speech to the 少年部 at 8 p.m. Sent 祭器 and 祭床 etc. to 新村. Grandmother's 記念日 by 兪鎭昌.
