Understand the Republic of Manchuria was officially inaugurated yesterday afternoon in 長春, the new capital of the new state. Heur Pu-i―溥儀, the ex-emperor―or the last emperor of the Manchu Dynasty, was elected the first President of the new Republic. The little Republic of Panama was erected or rather detached from Columbia 1903 by the U.S. to secure the Panama Canal zone to America. Thus in everything Japan does in the way of imperialism, she has only to follow the fool steps of the great and good nations of America and Europe. It's simply too funny to see or read about the criticisms of the West against the high handed proceedings of Japan in China.

He applied to Miss Ada Hall for a loan of ¥1,500―of course to be refunded as soon as he gets the reimbursement. Miss Hall being the treasurer of the Gen. Board(總理院) of the Korea Methodist Church, wants my approval, I being the Chairman of the Financial Dept. of the Board. Dr. Yang thinks it all right for me to give the approval.
