In his stead a Korean has been appointed. While we are glad that the Governor General has given such an important office to a Korean, we are somewhat uneasy for two reasons; (1) A Korean coming to such a position of powers he may try to distinguish him or to flatter his superiors by plying a mean trick on the Koreans. (2) The powers that be might have some unpopular job for which a Korean is better fitted than a Japanese.
