3.29.(수)~4.16.(일) ‘다시 봄, 설레는 청와대’/ 상춘객 위한 봄꽃도 만개 예정
문화재청 청와대국민개방추진단(단장 채수희)은 한국문화재재단(이사장 최영창)과 함께 새봄을 맞이하여 3월 29일부터 4월 16일까지 ‘다시 봄, 설레는 청와대’ 문화예술공연을 선보인다.
먼저, 3월 29일부터 4월 14일까지(휴관일인 매주 화요일 제외) 오전 11시와 오후 3시 매일 두 차례 문화예술공연이 펼쳐진다. 민속풍 융합음악(에스닉 퓨전음악)을 선보이는 밴드 ‘두번째달(3.29.)’의 공연을 시작으로, 국악과 팝 음악의 변주로 유명한 ‘서도밴드(3.30.~31.)’, 아슬아슬한 줄타기 묘미를 선보일 ‘권원태 줄타기 연희단(4.1.~2.)’, 국악 대중화에 앞장서는 밴드 ‘이상(4.3.~5.)’, 전통예술공연의 정수를 담은 ‘한국문화재재단 예술단(4.6.~7.)’, 각종 대회에서 수상을 거둔 아카펠라 그룹 ‘나린(4.8.~9.)’, 국내 대표 재즈 삼인조(트리오) ‘젠틀레인(4.10.~12.)’, 5인조 재즈 금관악기 연주단체 ‘미스터 브라스(4.13.~14.)’ 등이 참여해 남녀노소 모두가 즐길 수 있는 문화예술공연을 선사할 예정이다.
이 밖에도 4월 15일과 16일 양일간 오후 3시 대정원에서는 대한민국 전통 의장과 군악의 진수를 보여줄 ‘국방부 근무지원단’의 공연이 청와대를 찾는 관람객들에게 풍성한 볼거리를 더한다. ‘다시 봄, 설레는 청와대’는 별도의 예매 없이 청와대 관람객이면 누구나 즐길 수 있으며, 우천 시 취소될 수 있다. 자세한 사항은 전화(☎1522-7760)로 문의하면 된다. 한편, 청와대에서는 상춘재의 매화, 관저의 진달래와 튤립, 소정원의 산수유 등 봄꽃들이 상춘객 맞을 준비에 한창이다. 4월부터는 돌단풍, 수선화, 복수초, 제비꽃 등의 야생화도 청와대 일원에 만개할 예정이다.
문화재청 청와대국민개방추진단 관계자는 “봄을 맞이하여 펼쳐지는 이번 행사를 통해 관람객들이 봄 내음 가득한 청와대에서 즐거운 추억을 만들 수 있기를 기대하며, 지난 3월 1일 관람객 300만 명을 돌파하며 명실상부한 대한민국 대표 관광명소가 된 청와대가 앞으로도 국민들에게 사랑받는 특별한 장소가 되기를 바란다.”고 전했다.
Cheong Wa Dae Public Opening Promotion Team of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea (headed by Chae Soo-hee) and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (president Choi Young-chang) have prepared the Cheong Wa Dae to mark the arrival of spring.
From March 29 through April 14 (closed Tuesdays) the concerts will take place twice daily, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Performers include various fusion and traditional music teams, such as Korea’s first ethnic fusion music band, SECOND MOON (performing March 29); sEODo BAND, known for its unique variations of traditional and pop music (March 30–31); breathtaking performances by Kwon Won Tae Namsadang tightrope walking (April 1–2); E-SANG, which is at the forefront of publicizing traditional music (April 3–5); authentic traditional performances by the KCHF Performance Arts Group (April 6–7); Narin, an a cappella group that has won numerous music competitions (April 8–9); the highly acclaimed jazz trio, Gentle Rain (April 10–12); and the brass instrument jazz quintet Mr. Brass (April 13–14). We anticipate that these concerts will be a source of great enjoyment for all Cheong Wa Dae visitors.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy breathtaking honor guard and military music performances by The Honor Guard of Republic of Korea Armed Forces on April 15th and 16th at 3 p.m. at Cheong Wa Dae's Main Garden.
The concerts may be enjoyed by anyone in possession of a Cheong Wa Dae admission ticket. It may be canceled in case of rain.
Visitors to Cheong Wa Dae will be welcomed by a myriad of spring blossoms such as apricot flowers in Sangchunjae, azaleas and tulips in Official Residence, and cornelian cherry flowers in Small Garden. From April, diverse wildflowers and plants such as mukdenias, narcissus, the Amur Adonis and violas will also begin to flourish.
An official from the Cheong Wa Dae Public Opening Promotion Team of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea expressed hope that the concerts will help visitors to enjoy spring as they make special memories at Cheong Wa Dae; having been visited by more than three million people as of March 1, it is fast becoming a top tourist site in Korea.
