잼버리 스카우트 대원 및 행사 지원자 대상으로 각종 무료관람 및 기념품 제공 등
문화재청(청장 최응천)은 전라북도 부안군 새만금 일원에서 진행되고 있는 ‘2023 새만금 「제25회 세계스카우트잼버리」’(8.1.~8.12.) 참여 차 대한민국을 찾은 전 세계의 스카우트 대원 및 행사 지원자들에게 한국의 전통문화유산을 향유할 수 있는 다양한 문화프로그램 체험을 12일까지 지원하기로 하였다.
먼저, 궁능유적본부(본부장 직무대리 신성희)는 수도권에 소재한 4개 궁궐[경복궁, 창덕궁(후원 별도 협의), 덕수궁, 창경궁]과 종묘, 조선왕릉의 입장료를 면제하고 안내해설(외국어 포함)이 필요한 경우 최대한 제공할 예정으로 관람을 희망하는 참가자는 해당 관리소로 신청문의(관리소별 전화번호는 붙임 참조)하면 된다. * 잼버리 스카우트 복장 착용자에 대해 입장료 면제 및 해설 제공
또한, 연중 무료로 개방하고 있는 국립고궁박물관(관장 직무대리 윤태정)은 잼버리 참가자가 단체관람 요청 시 우선 예약과 안내해설을 지원하고, 소정의 기념품도 제공한다. 국립무형유산원(원장 안형순)은 전주시와 함께 전시·전통문화 공연·체험 등 지역연계 프로그램을 운영함과 동시에 참가자들에게 쉼터 공간을 제공하고 있다.(8.7. 새만금잼버리 야영장 조기 철수 결정에 따라 국립무형유산원 지역연계 프로그램은 운영 종료) 마지막으로 한국문화재재단에서 운영하는 전통문화 편의시설(국립고궁박물관·경복궁·창덕궁·덕수궁의 ‘사랑’ 카페) 이용 시 할인혜택을 지원할 예정이다. 자세한 내용은 국립고궁박물관(☎02-3701-7611), 국립무형유산원(☎063-280-1411), 한국문화재재단(☎02-2270-1202)으로 문의하면 된다.
문화재청은 이번 기회를 통해 대한민국을 방문한 전 세계의 잼버리 대원들과 행사 관계자들이 우리 전통문화에 담긴 고귀한 가치를 느껴볼 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회가 되기를 기대하며, 한류로 대변되는 대중문화 강국으로서의 위상을 전통문화의 영역까지 확산할 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다할 예정이다.
The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA; Administrator: Choi Eung-chon) announced to provide opportunities to experience Korean cultural heritage for participants of the 25th World Scout Jamboree (Aug. 1–12) held in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do until Aug. 12, 2023.
The CHA Royal Palaces and Tombs Center (Acting Director: Shin Seong-hui) will offer free admissions to four palaces in Seoul—Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung (sponsored separately), Deoksugung, and Changgyeonggung—as well as Jongmyo Shrine and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, and provide tour guides (including multilingual services) to the best of availability. Visitors must wear their scout uniform to enjoy this benefit and detailed information can be obtained by inquiring the relevant management office (see the attached contact list).
Moreover, the National Palace Museum of Korea (Acting Director: Yoon Tae-jeong), which is open year round with free admission, is prioritizing group reservations booked by participants of the World Scout Jamboree as well as providing free souvenirs and tour guides. Also, the National Intangible Heritage Center (Director: Ahn Hyeong-sun) is working with the municipal government of Jeonju to offer local experiences, such as traditional culture performances, exhibitions, and experience programs, while providing meals and rest areas. Due to early withdrawal from campground at Saemangeum on August 7, regional community program at the National Intangible Heritage Center has ended. Lastly, discount benefits will be provided for traditional culture amenities (i.e. Sarang Cafe in royal palaces, such as Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung and Deoksugung) operated by the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation. The CHA hopes to provide meaningful opportunities to international participants of the World Scout Jamboree visiting Korea so that they can experience and cherish Korean cultural heritage and spare no effort to enhance Korea’s status as a powerhouse of popular culture based on the global fame of Korean culture.
