Seoul home. Went to the Normal School to see the 學藝演習會, because our children 明姬 and 璋善 took part in it. The program was outrageously long―exactly forty-five items―from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with less than an hour's recess for lunch! Even a scientific explanation of secretion was one of the items. What impressed me most was the conscientious attendance of the Japanese 校長. He sat through the entire program―which a Korean 校長 of his standing would not have done.

The Korean Group of the I.P.R. having received an invitation from the 3rd I.P.R. Conference now in session at Kyoto, Japan, to attend the meeting, we, the Korean members, have to go there to explain our request for an amendment of the Constitution. Mr. Hugh Cynn being away I have to make the trip, to my great disgust.
