Seoul home. The papers announce that the disastrous civil war which had been raging in China during the last 7 or 8 months between 蔣介石 and 馮國祥 and 閭錫山 came to an end a few days ago. 馮 has retired to the interior of 山西 Province. The Government which he and 閭 set up in Paking has disappeared. 閭 the arch rebel is left in the lurch etc., etc., etc. I wouldn't be surprised to hear a few days later that 馮 and some other fellow has again declared war against the Nankin Government etc., etc., etc.

Seoul home. 2nd day of All Korea Foot-ball meet. The 敬信 boys dissatisfied with the decision of the umpire behaved themselves very ugly attempting to maul him after they had lost the game. What this generation of Korean youth is big stick and not flattering the damnable Bolshevism of the brutish Russia has destroyed all the rules of decent in the minds of the young without giving any thing new in their place. So the beast in the nature of every young man―in fact of every human brute―has been unleashed to make the society a veritable hell. Nothing but the iron hand of police is keeping the beasts from flying at the throats of each other.
